Everyone Has A Tail...
Memory Lane Stables has been a beloved family business in Chicago for over 50 years. Many of our customers have returned through the generations—bringing their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to share in the joy of horseback riding and pony experiences.
We offer hourly horseback rentals for both large events and private trail rides. Our rides, along with boarding and pony rides, are set against the beautiful Cook County Forest Preserve, just 10 minutes outside of Chicago. Our rides start right from our back door, where we’ve been welcoming riders for decades. Explore our miles of winding trails, or stop at one of our picnic groves to give your pony a break and enjoy some one-on-one time with your child.

Trail Rides
We offer one hour, two hour or all-day horseback rides through the forest preserve. We have many different horses for all sizes and can accommodate up to 275lbs on horseback.

After years in the business, we wanted to bring the joy of pony rides not only at our stables but directly to your front door. Whether you prefer to host a pony party at our location or have us bring the fun to you, we have ponies of all sizes and colors to suit your needs. When you book with us, you’ll receive highly trained staff and well-mannered ponies tailored to your party. We offer ponies that can carry up to 115 lbs, and we can bring as many ponies as your event requires.
In addition to pony rides, we offer petting zoos that include goats, sheep, and bunnies, along with one of our unique animals like a Zebu (miniature bull) or a donkey, plus one of our adorable miniature horses.
We also offer one-hour, two-hour, or all-day horseback rides through the scenic forest preserve. With a variety of horses available, we can accommodate riders up to 275 lbs. Children as young as 10 years old can also enjoy riding through our beautiful trails.
