Horseback Trail Rides

Let us take you on a trail ride through the beautiful Cook County Forest Preserves! We have many different horses for all sizes and can accommodate up to 275lbs on horseback. Children as young as ten years old would be able to ride on horseback on our beautiful trails. 

Horseback riding on the trail for hourly horse rental of both large events and private trail rides. Our trail rides, rental, boarding, and pony rides are backed up to Cook County Forest Preserve just 10 minutes outside Chicago. Horseback rides and pony rides start right out our back door where we have offered them for decades. You can ride atop your horse on our miles of winding trails. 

We offer family rides that include both horses and ponies on a ride together. Have a diverse group of all ages? No problem! We can accommodate your family no matter the ages. The family trail rides will last approximately 45 minutes as opposed to the hour. 

• Horseback rides are available every day of the week for the cost of $25/hour + guide gratuity, though you are not limited to only one hour. 

• Cook County requires any rider ages 12 and up to purchase a $5 riders license to ride on the trails. We have them available for purchase on site. 
  
• All children under age 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult.
  
• All riders must also fill out a Rider's waiver form, if the person riding is under 18 the waiver must be signed by the legal guardian. Please Click on the Link below to read the waiver and feel free to print and fill out a copy before arriving to ease the process.
