Horseback Trail Rides

Join us for a scenic trail ride through the breathtaking Cook County Forest Preserves! We have a wide selection of horses to suit all riders, and we can accommodate individuals weighing up to 275 lbs. 

We offer hourly horseback rentals for both private trail rides and large groups. Our horseback rides, pony rides, horse rentals, and boarding services are conveniently located just 10 minutes outside of Chicago, with direct access to the Cook County Forest Preserve. Our rides begin right from our back door, where we’ve been offering unforgettable experiences for decades.

 Enjoy a leisurely ride through miles of winding trails on horseback. Children as young as 10 years old are welcome to experience horseback riding on our beautiful trails. For families, we offer family trail rides that allow both horses and ponies to ride together. No matter the ages in your group, we can accommodate everyone! These family rides are approximately 45 minutes long, slightly shorter than the standard hour-long ride.  

Looking to ride longer?
We offer one-hour, two-hour, and all-day horseback rides. Call us anytime, seven days a week from 9 AM to 6 PM at (708) 845-0865 to inquire about booking an extended trail ride.

· Horseback rides are available daily for just $25 per hour, plus a guide surcharge. 

· Please note, Cook County requires a $5 rider’s license for all riders ages 12 and up to access the trails. These licenses are available for purchase on-site.

· All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

· All riders must complete a Rider’s Waiver form. If the rider is under 18, the waiver must be signed by a legal guardian. To streamline your visit, feel free to click the link below to read and print the waiver ahead of time.
